Before you buy this drive

This SP Silicon Power Armor A85B is a rugged portable drive, not a network-attached storage unit. You cannot connect it directly to your router for multi-user access. It is designed for direct connection to a single computer via USB3.2 Gen 1. You need a computer with an available USB port to use it. The drive weighs 15.5 ounces and measures 19.7 inches in length and width, with a height of 11 inches. This size is bulky for a portable drive. You should check your cable management and desk space. The silver casing requires regular cleaning to maintain its appearance. Dust and smudges can accumulate on the surface. You must handle it with care to preserve the rugged exterior. This drive suits users who need large, local storage for backups or media files. It does not replace a NAS for shared network storage. Consider your need for portability versus network access. If you only need one computer to access your files, this drive fits your needs. If you need shared access, look for a NAS solution instead. Always back up your data to multiple locations.

Check before you buy

• Verify you have a USB3.2 Gen 1 port on your device.
• Check if your desk space fits the 19.7 inch dimensions.
• Confirm you only need single-computer access, not network sharing.
